Sky Betting & Gaming is a large company split into two main divisions. There’s the betting section and the gaming section including online casinos etc.

Split down into the two sections, betting grew by 40% compared to last years figures. The main reason for this increase was due to a larger taking in sports bets. In 2016 this figure was £2.4 billion and this year they took £3.4 billion in sports bets, an increase of 40%.

To help achieve greater success, the company employed a further 200 staff in early 2017.

Richard Flint, the CEO of Sky Betting & Gaming said:

‘2017 was a record year for all major metrics, reflecting our ongoing investment, a relentless focus on quality, our customer obsession and great teamwork.

I am proud that 2017 was another record year. We continued to lead the market for innovation, extending our lead as the UK’s most popular online betting brand. Our investments in brand, technology and people are paying off, and we delivered 38% growth in revenue and EBITDA in the year.’

SkyBet have really taken advantage of the huge shift in the betting industry in the last 5 years or so. They were founded in 2001 but like other online competitors they didn’t start making inroads until about 2010 when they started picking up a greater proportion of the betting sector.

If current trends continue and the betting industry keeps shifting towards a digital only world, SkyBet are in a prime position to take full advantage. They are arguably one of the greatest digital betting companies. Their website is incredibly easy to use and they’ve really focussed on putting the user first.

Sky Betting and Matched Betting

Increasing revenues is great for matched betting. Ultimately the betting companies can promote more and a greater range of offers. We make money from these promotions using a risk free betting technique called back and lay betting.

SkyBet are one of the top bookies to use for matched betting. They offer new and existing customers a huge range of free bets and promotions. They’re probably in the top 5 bookies for offering the most profitable offers.

Their SkyBet Club is a great example of this. They offer every customer who joins the club a weekly £5 free bet. Over a year this equates to £260 in free bets for each member. Using matched betting, we can make a guaranteed profit of about £210 over a year.
