Step 1 – Create a Coral account

The first step is to create a new account with Coral.

Qualifying bet

Once your account is all set up we can then start looking at some potential markets to place your qualifying bet.

Step 4 – Picking a market

For our qualifying bet we’ll aim for a market with back and lay odds as close together as possible around 2.0 and a minimum of 1.5. In this case, 1.5 is the minimum odds (price) required to qualify for the free bet.

Step 5 – Calculating stakes

The aim of the qualifying bet is to keep any losses to a minimum.

In general we aim to lose no more than 5% of the overall back stake. So in this example we want to keep our qualifying loss below £0.25 (5% of £5).

Step 6 – Placing your bets

Once you’re happy with the market and the outcome, it’s time to place your bets.
