Oscars betting odds

As I mentioned at the start of the article, it seems to be a two horse race for ‘best picture’ with Roma and Green Book battling it out for the award.

However, it is The Oscars and judging by it’s history, anything could happen…

Here are some betting odds for the top three films:

Bet365

Roma – 1.83
Green Book – 5.00
The Favourite – 9.00

Paddy Power

Roma – 2.00
Green Book – 5.00
A Start Is Born – 8.50

Interestingly, Paddy Power are pricing A Star Is Born more likely than The Favourite.

Betfred

Roma – 2.00
Green Book – 5.00
The Favourite – 7.00

Roma looks like a strong pick with most bookies pricing them at evens or better. However, don’t write off Green Book or The Favourite. The Oscars has a history of throwing up some controversial awards.

Betting and the Oscars

You can expect plenty of betting activity over the coming weeks in the run up to 2019 edition of The Oscars. This is great for those looking to take part in matched betting.

The more markets available, the more likely you can find a tight match between the back and lay odds. This is the key to maximising your profit with matched betting in 2019.

At the time of writing this article, the lay odds for ‘Roma’ are 2.00 at Smarkets. Compare this to the odds above and you’ve got some great matched betting markets available to complete a qualifying bet.
