Mo’s Achievements

Mo Farah is one of the most decorated British Olympians with 4 Gold medals and a number of World Championship medals. Overall, the total stands at an amazing 10 medals putting him fourth in the all time list only behind Usain Bolt, Allyson Felix and Carl Lewis. That puts him amongst some of the greatest athletes ever.

It’s not just on the track where Mo has been setting the record books alight. He’s also no stranger to road racing. Earlier this year he won the Great North Run for a 4th consecutive time.

This latest accolade doesn’t just highlight his brilliant performances on the track and road, it acknowledges a brilliant man that is always looking out for others around himself. In 2011, he set up the Mo Farah Foundation in the aim of alleviating famine and disease in East Africa. The charity closed after a very successful 5 years in the mindset that its aims ‘could be more effectively met through the activities of a larger and well-resourced charity.’

Overall, Mo Farah has had a brilliant career and it’s set to continue in that vein.

What’s he doing next?

Mo has now hung up his Olympic spikes and decided to focus on road racing, where he is also no stranger to winning. Farah has decided to rebrand himself for the next stage of his career and asked the media and supporters to call him Mohamed instead of Mo. He said:

‘My road name is Mohamed. I just feel like Mo is done. I need to forget about what I’ve achieved and what I’ve done.’
