Hey everyone, today we’ve got a guest post from a matched betting member here at The Sure Bettor – Liv talks about matched betting for students. Enjoy and as ever, if you have any questions just get in touch.
Hi, I’m Liv. I’m a second year student studying business management at Newcastle Uni. Below I’ve listed 5 ways I spend my time at university and how my matched betting fits in around them.
1. In lectures
Contrary to what non-uni students might think, students do actually have to go to lectures now and again. Attendance is a big thing at Newcastle as I’m sure it is at other unis across the country. Scanning in often becomes more important than the actual lecture itself.
‘Scanning and scramming’ is the term given to lazy Newcastle students, who scan their cards (thereby getting recorded attendance) and then leave before the lecture has even started. Pretty clever if you ask me!
Maybe your uni isn’t quite as lazy as Newcastle is…
2. Being hungover
Ahh the infamous hangover…
If you’re anything like me when hungover (basically dead, incapable of doing anything) a ridiculous amount of time is wasted doing absolutely nothing. Being hungover is therefore literally one of the largest ways in which I spend (or kill) my time at Uni.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise quite how costly hangovers can be. I couldn’t fathom venturing outside the house to get some food, so it’s straight to the Deliveroo app to order the next meal. I don’t know about you guys, but the amount of money I spend on Deliveroo is honestly ridiculous. Last term alone I spent over £200 on Deliveroo. Absurd I know!
This is where matched betting is an absolute life saver. In fact, I like to say it goes hand in hand with being hungover. Even though I’m unable to leave the house, I can still make money from the comfort of my own sofa.
If it wasn’t for no risk matched betting, I wouldn’t be able to go out in the first place. I simply wouldn’t have the money to do so. Another reason I love matched betting is that I don’t have the time to get a job that would pay the same wage, without working a ridiculous amount of hours.
3. Movie nights with my house mates
On the rare occasion we don’t go out, me and my house mates host THE best movie nights! Snacks, blankets, duvets, cuddly hamster, you name it and we have it at our house.
This is another perfect time to place my matched bets. People often don’t realise how quick and easy placing your matched bets is. This makes it the ultimate thing to do whilst watching a film.
If you don’t know about matched betting, you’re missing out. It’s incredibly easy to learn, especially with help from matched betting services like The Sure Bettor. They ensure you know about the latest bookie offers and how to best exploit them.
Therefore, with The Sure Bettor’s daily notifications, I can place bets whilst simultaneously watching films from the comfort of my own sofa. It’s a win win if you ask me!
4. Going to the gym
As I’m sure many of you are aware and despite what our parents might think, us university students actually have a lot of spare time on our hands…
If you’re anything like me trying to get into shape is an absolute must. Whether it’s for the upcoming uni ski trip (mine leaves the 30th March) or for the Summer, you will be hitting the gym hard.
As all students know, we all need extra help when it comes to money. Despite my own excellent hobby of matched betting helping me out, I always seem to be in the red at the end of each month. Choosing a cheap gym is therefore a must.
That’s why I joined Pure gym, where is’s super affordable, with great equipment and incredibly convenient. This is unlike the uni gym which is ridiculously expensive (WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT TO US?!) So, if you are looking for a gym and your uni is in a city centre, I would highly recommend finding a Pure gym to help you save money for those big nights out.
5. Matched betting
As you will have probably guessed, the final thing I spend time doing at Uni is matched betting. I’ve been a matched bettor since the beginning of semester 2 in first year. As I mentioned earlier, I’m now in semester 2 of second year. I’ve honestly never looked back since. I actually don’t know how I would survive without the extra money.
I heard about no risk matched betting from my flat mate Sam, who had been doing it for a while at home to make some money before he started uni. He described it as a risk free betting technique in which you could guarantee yourself a profit. At first I didn’t understand how it worked, but with help from The Sure Bettor I soon got the gist.
Since I have started it has given me so many more opportunities as I have such a great deal more money. I would definitely recommend The Sure Bettor if you are new to matched betting as their tutorials and team of experts offer THE best advice to get started and to get the most out of matched betting.
