How I started matched betting
Back in 2015, I was looking for a way to make money. I’d just finished school and I literally had nothing to my name. With a gap year in Australia just around the corner, I needed to make some money quickly.

As you’d expect there were plenty of results to pick from! It’s always tricky trusting certain things on the Internet. Having previously joined a number of ‘get rich quick’ schemes, I was more careful this time around.
Matched betting
I clicked on an article with a title that read something like ’20 best methods to make money online’.
Up came ‘matched betting’ in the number one position, apparently the best way to make a profit online. At first I scrolled straight past this option and moved through the list. But the rest all seemed as boring as each other, so I scrolled back to the top.
I read through the description and was kind of confused. ‘How can you make a guaranteed profit from betting’ I thought to myself. But I kept on reading and found out that there was a proven method to guarantee a profit from betting.
After more research into matched betting, I found out there were thousands of people already using this method. I was surprised I’d never come across this technique before.
Anyway, I started to learn the basics of matched betting by visiting numerous sites and forums. Before I knew it I’d completed my first few offers and added to my bank balance. I continued to learn as much as possible, completing more difficult offers along the way and the rest is history.
Why matched betting suited me so well
Profitability
Match betting is incredibly profitable. You can potentially earn up to £1000 each month using this method. Whilst this is the higher end of what’s possible, most people still make around £500 each month. This was more than enough for me, I just wanted a little more money to take to Australia.
Having helped hundreds of people with matched betting, the average monthly income seems to be around £500. However this all depends on the amount of time you invest.
Time needed
Time is one of the most important considerations for many of us. Back in 2015, I wanted to find a money making opportunity that wouldn’t take me too long.
With matched betting, you really don’t need that much free time. Once you’ve got the technique nailed, placing bets becomes second nature. Completing a matched bet can take as little as 5 minutes.
