Odds on Harry Maguire’s ‘imminent’ move to Man Utd

Man Utd have been keen to snap up Harry Maguire amongst others in the aim of boosting their defence ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Man Utd ended up 6th after a poor end to their campaign in which they only won 2 of their last 9 games. Solskjaer has been in spending mode over the summer eyeing up a much improved 2019/20 campaign.

They’ve already signed Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Swansea and Crystal Palace.

Despite sources saying a deal is ‘imminent’, certain bookmakers have reduced the odds of Maguire moving from Leicester before the Summer transfer window closes on 8th August.

Maguire has told Leicester City he wants to move and the club is happy for him to go as long as Man Utd offer the right money and other requirements.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and other Man Utd coaches think Maguire will work well with Victor Lindelof in a revamped United defence.

A move is still considered likely and the bookmakers still think Maguire will start the new season at Man Utd. However, the start of the new season is getting ever closer with just over 2 weeks to go.

It comes as Brendan Rodgers, the Leicester manager said:‘Harry’s a top-quality player and no-one has come near the valuation to tempt the club to sell.’
